CAIRO, Sept 21 (MENA) - Tarek Fahmi, a political analyst and Professor of International Relations at Cairo University, said on Monday President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and State bodies are the real and first backbone against criminal schemes aiming at jeopardizing Egypt's stability.

Speaking to MENA after failed calls for protests against the State, the political analyst said it became clear that President Sisi is the target of the State's enemies at both political and media levels because of his development plan that is closely linked to his big national project that seeks to save homeland from the misleading group of the Muslim Brotherhood that tried to turn the country into an emirate under a claimed Islamic caliphate.

The Egyptian State is so strong and has deterrent capabilities and it is not threatened by such ridiculous calls or by the political mockery of the Brotherhood, which is witnessing unprecedented splits after the abolition of the position of the group’s secretary general and the formation of a committee run by the group's leaderships abroad.

He expected that the anti-Egypt media outlets would continue undermining accomplishments being realized in homeland and this, he said, requires from all Egyptians to stand behind their political leadership.

"We have to be vigilant and fully aware of all plots knitted against the State", he reiterated.
