CAIRO – 1 September 2020: The first flight to depart a Tel Aviv airport heading to United Arab Emirates (UAE) took off Monday carrying aboard a U.S. delegation led by White House Adviser Jared Kushner, according to Sky News TV channel.

This flight comes as part of the recent agreement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates to establish diplomatic relations.

Israeli TV Channel 2 displayed the advantages of the plane that carried the high-rank delegation from Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv to UAE. The channel said that the Boeing 737-900 was named after the city of Kiryat Gat. The company affixed the word “Peace” on the body of the plane in three languages: Hebrew, English and Arabic.

The channel added that the plane has an installed missile defense system to protect the plane from shoulder-fired missiles; the system detects missiles through a laser system, and deflects the missile’s path away from the plane.

The talks in Abu Dhabi will focus on enhancing cooperation in various areas such as aviation, tourism, trade, economy, health, energy, security, and more. Representatives from different Israeli ministries will also join the delegation heading to UAE.
