CAIRO – 25 August 2020: The National Authority for Tunnels (NAT) announced that Revenue Collection Systems France SAS won the tender against Aindra Systems to supply ticket vending machines for the first and second metro lines.

The technical features offered by the French company are better than the ones proposed by the Spanish one. Also, the former offered a deal worth LE76 million while the latter's proposal's value is LE85 million.   The machines can deal with coins, banknotes, and credit cards.

The authority invited tenders in November 2019, and received three offers in January. One of them was discarded because it did not meet the technical specifications.

Revenue collection Systems France SAS had won another tender earlier to supply 50 ticket vending machines for the third metro line. The first batch was installed in the fourth phase extending between Haroun Station in Nozha and Adly Mansour Station in Misr Al Gadida. Both neighborhoods are located eastern Cairo.
