Those lines include 20 buses and a diesel bus that was converted into gas. Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal told press there is a plan to convert and substitute diesel vehicles so that the 3,300 public transport buses operating in Greater Cairo become gas-powered within two years instead of 4. The target for 2020 is 150 buses.

The 20 buses that entered service on August 22 are the second batch of a deal worth LE610 million to supply 150 gas-powered vehicles. Half the units have been delivered, and the rest will be handed over by the end of 2020.
