Egypt is keen on boosting relations with Sudan: PM

CAIRO – 19 August 2020: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli highlighted his recent visit to Sudan and the importance of boosting bilateral relations between the two countries during a ministerial meeting Wednesday.

He affirmed the necessity of cooperation in the fields of electricity, health, transportation, agriculture and livestock between Khartoum and Cairo.

He pointed out that Egypt and Sudan have same stance concerning the Renaissance Dam file.

The prime minister pointed out that the Sudanese side is keen on attracting more Egyptian investors to work in Sudan, announcing that a conference will be held soon in Sudan in which a number of Egyptian officials and investors will be invited to review investment opportunities in Sudan.

During the meeting, the prime minister was keen to take all protective measures to assert the importance of maintaining COVID-19 low rates via taking all measures needed.

Madbouli hailed the inauguration of the fourth phase of the metro’s line 4, that was attended by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi. He also thanked transportation ministry over concluding such vital project.
