In the morning of the same day, the president inaugurated the fourth phase of the Metro third line connecting Imamba in Giza with the Cairo International Airport area.

Sisi said that the development constructions and projects that the country is carrying out cost billions of pounds.

“The [infrastructure works] are being financed by huge amount of money. The state is keen to improve the lives of people in all sectors,” he said, adding that the construction works and other projects were financed in loans.

“We did not ask you [Egyptians] to repay such loans and their interests. What we need is the costs of operation and maintenance of the utilities,” the President said, calling upon the people to cooperate with the government to face all challenges that Egypt goes through.

President El-Sisi expressed his gratitude to those who are working in the infrastructure sectors, saying that those workers are not less than 5 million people. “We will make a greater effort in all sectors to achieve what we wish,” he said.
