CAIRO, Aug 15 (MENA) – The Cabinet, under Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli, agreed on Saturday on extending the deadline for reconciliation in building code violations for an additional month starting from today until September 15.

Earlier, the Cabinet approved a decision to activate law no. 17 of 2019 on rules to reconcile with offenders of some building code violations.

The cabinet obliged violators willing to legalize the status of their illegal buildings to pay an appropriate sum of money, ranging between EGP 5,000 and EGP 250,000, to prove their readiness for reconciliation.

The reconciliation value shall vary depending on the type of the violation and its location.
