Ethiopia’s new ambassador to Egypt arrives in Cairo

CAIRO – 15 August 2020: New Ethiopian ambassador to Egypt Markos Tekle Rike, arrived in Cairo Friday evening, Al Shorouk newspaper reported.

 

Markos Tekle Rike was appointed to this post as per a decision by Ethiopian President Sahle-Work Zewde.

 

The new ambassador was received at the Cairo International Airport by a team of embassy employees.

 

He was recently serving as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs. Previously, he was the Ethiopian ambassador to Japan and director of Ethiopian Foreign Service Training Institute.
