Egypt records 923 COVID-19 cases, 67 deaths

CAIRO - 11 July 2020: Egypt recorded, Saturday, 923 new coronavirus cases, upping the total number of confirmed cases to 81158.

In a statement, Spokesman for the Health Ministry Khaled Megahed said 67 patients have died from the virus over the past 24 hours, raising the death toll to 3769.

As many as 602 patients were discharged from isolation hospitals after receiving necessary medical care, taking the number of recovered cases to 23876 so far, the spokesman said.

The Egyptian Drug Authority announced signing a deal with AstraZeneca to supply the country with the Oxford University's vaccine for COVID-19 without disclosing the number of doses or the delivery date.
