CAIRO – 7 July 2020: The Egyptian General Attorney said Monday that the alleged sex predator Ahmed Bassam Zaki was referred to prison for four days pending investigation on his serial sexual assaults.

Zaki is accused of raping three women- one of them is only 18- and blackmailing other dozens through internet messages and voice mails.

The prosecution checked the evidence represented in the predator’s Whats app messages to one of his victims, where he practiced blackmailing and threatening in order to have a sexual relationship without the victim’s consent.

Zaki, who is accused of raping, sexually assaulting, threatening, and harassing more than 100 women got detained by the local police authority for investigation earlier on Saturday.

The country’s top prosecution released a statement saying that its monitoring unit is taking all measures to consider and inspect what has been circulating on social media regarding accusations against a young man over forcing a number of girls to engage in sexual practice against their will.
