Egyptian civil engineer Mamdouh Hamza on travel ban list

 

CAIRO -  6 July 2020: Egyptian civil engineer Mamdouh Hamza, fugitive from justice, was put on the travel ban list by a criminal court ruling on Monday.

 

Hamza, who was tried in absentia, was charged with inciting terrorism and violence and disturbing public order by posting anti-government tweets. ِThe trial was filed by Egyptian lawyer Samir Sabry.

 

The court also deferred his trial for the above-mentioned charges to July 14.
