CAIRO, July 5 (MENA) - The newly-appointed heads of Egypt's press and media organisations took the constitutional oath before the House of Representatives on Sunday.

On June 24, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi reshuffled media and press organizations, naming Karam Gabr as head of the Higher Council for Media Regulation, Abdel-Sadeq El-Shorbagi as head of the Higher Press Organisation and Hussein Zein as head of the Higher Media Organisation.

House of Representatives Speaker Ali Abdel Aal said that laws regulating the performance of the press and media organisations stipulate that the new heads will be sworn in before the parliament before they can exercise their duties.
