CAIRO – 3 July 2020: Egypt’s Attorney General Hamada al-Sawy ordered, Friday arresting two suspects in detention pending investigations; after accusing them of insulting a Sudanese child and violate his personal life, causing discrimination between individuals on basis of their origin.

In a Friday statement, Sawy’s office said that the two suspects beat the child and filmed him aiming to post the video on social media.

“When the child tried to escape from his abusers, they throw him with stones and stole his stuff that he left behind in his escape attempt.” The statement explained.




The Attorney General’s office noticed that the video heavily circulated the social media during the past days. The accident that considered a bully against the child because of his color and nationality was investigated, as the two suspects were identified and arrested.

The two suspects are facing accusations of violating personal life, abusing a little child, violating the Egyptian society values and principles along with stealing and beating the child.

During the investigations the suspects said that they were seeking more social media views and followers by filming such abuse; however, they denied stealing his stuff.

Concluding the statement, the Public Prosecution called upon all people to abide by morals and high values along with avoiding such abnormal behaviors. The statement also urged people to respect all differences between humans without distinction on any basis.
