CAIRO/RAMALLAH- 26 June 2020- The Palestinian community in Egypt on Friday confirmed its support for the Palestinian leadership in its efforts against the Israeli plans to annex parts of the Palestinian territories.

According to the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA), the Palestinian community and the staff of the Palestinian embassy in Cairo along with the Palestinian mission to the Arab League have signed a document confirming their rejection of the Israeli plan to annex parts of the occupied West Bank.

This plan is illegal and contradicts international legitimacy resolutions, they pointed out, adding that it also contradicts agreements signed between the Palestine Liberation Organization and Israel and hampers the implementation of the two-state solution.

The community further asserted that the Israeli plan is undermining peace and security in the region and the whole world.

They called for an international intervention with Israel to force it to go back on its illegal plan and to adhere to the will of international legitimacy and the Arab Peace Initiative.
