KUWAIT CITY - 19 June 2020: Kuwait's Directorate General of Civil Aviation said on Friday that 1,795 stranded Egyptians in the Gulf country have flown home on board of 12 flights.

In a press statement, the civil aviation directorate added that five flights carrying 680 Egyptians left Kuwait for Sohag and four flights with 680 passengers on board headed for Cairo.

Two flights carrying 290 Egyptians left Kuwait for Assuit and one flight with 145 passengers on board headed for Alexandria, the statement said.

The flights are operated by the Kuwait Airways, Jazeera Airways, Air Cairo, FlyEgypt, Nile Air and Air Arabia Egypt, added the statement.
