BRASILIA, June 10 (MENA) - The Health authorities in Brazil revealed on Wednesday that the number of coronavirus-related fatalities increased by 1,272 in the past 24 hours, nearly doubling compared to the 679 deaths seen the day before.

The numbers in the past few days, however, saw a massive decline in contrast with over a thousand deaths reported daily in the previous weeks.

Following the added numbers, the country's coronavirus death toll rose to 38,406. Confirmed COVID-19 cases reached 739,503 during the same time period, up by 32,091 in a day, while, at least 311,064 recoveries from the disease were confirmed to date.
