Construction works of new emergency hospital in Aswan - File

CAIRO – 30 April 2020: "Work is in full swing to establish the emergency hospital building at Aswan University during the holy month of Ramadan," said Abdullah el-Obaidi, the executive director of university hospitals at Aswan University.

In the following lines, Egypt Today outlines important information about the project:


1- The new emergency hospital is one of Aswan University hospitals.

2- The total cost of the project is about L.E. 300 million.

3- The regular excavation and concrete works at the emergency hospital building have been finalized.

4- Drinking water, sewage and electricity networks are soon to be completed. New networks replaced the dilapidated ones.

5- The hospital is a five-story building and is built on a distance of 2,000 meters.

6- The capacity of the hospital is 150 beds.

7- The hospital includes various rooms for emergency operations, intensive care and internal reservation.

8- The new hospital will be connected with the old building of the university hospital through upper bridges, to serve all types of accidents in various surgical departments.

9- It is expected that the construction of the hospital will be completed within 3 years.
