Armed Forces greet Sisi on anniversary of Israa and Miraj

CAIRO - 20 March 2020: Minister of Defense and Military Production Mohamed Zaki sent on Friday a cable of greetings to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on the anniversary of al-Israa and al-Miraj.

This occasion refers to a miraculous journey that Prophet Muhammad took in one night from Mecca to Jerusalem and then an ascension to heavens.

In his cable, the defense minister wished the Egyptian president health and well being and asserted that Prophet Muhammad's message has taught us the importance of defending land and protecting our homes with all possible sacrifices.

He also voiced hope that Egypt would further enjoy security and stability.
