CAIRO - 5 March 2020: Minister of Health Hala Zayed said Wednesday that laboratory tests for 1,904 suspected cases of novel coronavirus from the beginning of the year till today came back negative, except for two.

The two cases are those of two foreigners living in Egypt, as was previously announced by the Health Ministry, Zayed stressed in a statement to the press.

The minister said the first case was fully recovered after receiving an extensive medical care, and its samples have been tested more than once by both the Health Ministry and WHO using the PCR procedure.

The second case, confirmed on Sunday, is under quarantine and receiving treatment, she also said, noting that it is showing constant improvement.
