CAIRO - 2 March 2020: Former minister of state for family and population Ambassador Moushira Khattab has been elected CEO of Kemet Boutros Ghali Foundation for Peace and Knowledge.

The foundation's board of trustees unanimously selected Khattab as the next CEO in recognition of her remarkable achievements on the diplomatic and political arenas as well as her support to the foundation's mission, President of the knowledge hub Mamdouh Abbas told MENA on Monday.

He added the foundation is looking forward to cooperating with the new CEO to serve the Egyptian community and the goals of sustainable development.

Khattab, who served as Egypt's ambassadors to several states, was the second woman to take over the post of state minister for foreign affairs.

She was also been nominated for the post of director-general of the UNESCO in 2016.
