CAIRO -26 February 2020: Egypt’s Prime minster Mostafa Madbouly arrived Wednesday at El-Mosheer Tantawy Mosque to attend the funeral prayer of former President Mohamed Hosni Mubarak, as a military funeral was prepared for the deceased war veteran.

On Tuesday, the Cabinet, the Armed Forces and the Presidency issued statements mourning the death of the former president, who passed away at the age of 91.

"The presidency deeply mourns former President Mohamed Hosni Mubarak for his services to the country as a commander, and one of the heroes of the great October War.

Mubarak was commander of the Air Forces during the war that restored dignity and pride to the Arab nation," the Presidency said in a statement, extending condolences to his family.

Egypt also declared three days of national mourning starting from Wednesday.
