CAIRO – 15 January 2020: The Egyptian Metro Company will launch Wednesday a mobile application to help daily travelers to book their tickets via the app.

A trial version of the application will be introduced this month, and then the application will be available for both Android and IOS devices.

Travelers will be able, through the application, to issue subscriptions, and charge their smart cards as a first phase. Then there will be more services available for metro commuters. Users can know the closest metro station to them, and submit complaints or inquire about anything relevant to the metro via the application.

The application is also equipped with a map for the three metro lines so the passengers can track the trip path; the map syncs with Google maps. Information about nearby landmarks will be available for passengers, in addition to information about violations and fines that passengers can face.
