Egyptian Air Force performs exercises within Qader 2020

CAIRO - 13 January 2020: The spokesperson of the Egyptian Armed Forces announced on Monday the updates of Qader 2020 exercises launched on Friday.



The Air Force changed the deployments of various fighter jet classes across different bases in order to provide air protection to all elements taking part in Qader 2020 exercises. The branch accomplished missions pertinent to observation and securing cover to elements partaking in the drills in coordination with the Air Defense Force and the Navy securing economic interests in the Mediterrenean and the Red Sea.

The Air Force has also transported Thunderbolt Forces troops in different directions executing parachuting, provided assistance with targeting terror hideouts in cooperation with tactical formations, and carried out missions of medical evacuation, search and rescue.

The Western Military Region undertook activities along land and maritime borders in collaboration with the main branches of the Egyptian Armed Forces and the Border Guard Forces as combat readiness of military formations and bases has been upgraded. In addition, a number of tactical exercises were conducted using live ammunition in cooperation with the Air Force, the Air Defense Force, the Navy and the Border Guard Forces. Paratroopers also took part in drills.
