In Pics: Sisi inspects constructions at major Cairo road projects

CAIRO - 21 December 2019: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi on Friday inspected construction works in a number of road and bridge projects in Cairo's Heliopolis district.



According to a statement issued by presidential spokesperson Bassam Radi, the president also toured constructions at the Cairo-Suez desert road.

During President Sisi's inspection tour, he directed the bodies concerned to finalize these projects in accordance with the planned timetable, while abiding by the world's best safety and security standards.

The president was keen to check on the progress of the work, as well as to listen to the opinions of the workers.

These projects aim to reduce traffic congestion and link the area with the main axes that extend to new cities and the capital.
