CAIRO – 14 December 2019: The Executive Director of the UN World Food Program, David Paisley visited on Saturday Saint Catherine’s Monastery in South Sinai.

Paisley visit comes as part of his participation in the third edition of the World Youth Forum set to kick off Saturday in the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh, and will last until Dec.17.

He was accompanied by his wife Mary Wed Paisley, Country Director of the World Food Programme in Egypt Menghestab Haile, Special Assistant to Executive Director Gavin Gramstad, WFP program director Amani Jamal El Din, Alaa Zuhairi, director of governmental relations, Randa Sadiq," assistant director of Egypt office and Talaat Al-Anani, mayor of St. Catherine city.

During his tour, Paisley hailed the historic value of St. Catherine Monastery, as well as the beauty of the nature of the city. He further ensured the state of security witnessed all the way from Sharm El Sheikh to Catherine.
