cutting ties with Qatar as extracting a tumor out of the Arab nation’s body.

Caricaturist Ali al-Ghamidi drew the head of the Qatari Emir Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani as the tumor being extracted, calling it “The Qatari Policy.”

On June 5, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, Yemen and the Maldives announced they are severing relations with the tiny emirate of Qatar over allegations that Doha supports terrorist groups and destabilizes the region.

Later, Mauritania, Libya’s eastern-based government and Mauritius joined the firm stance against Qatar.
