3 watchmen killed in attack on security checkpoint

CAIRO - 11 November 2019: Elements that have not yet been identified opened fire at a security checkpoint in Hasafa village in Qalyoubia’ Toukh district on Monday killing three watchmen.

The security agencies are combing the area and have banned access to its surroundings. The bodies were moved to Benha General Hospital.

In October, Egypt’s security forces thwarted a terrorist attack against a security checkpoint in Arish city, North Sinai. According to an official statement by Egypt’s Ministry of Interior, the forces killed the attacker before blowing himself up.
