Russian FM Congratulates OIC on its 50th Anniversary

RIYADH, Nov 10 (MENA) - Russia and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) affirmed their keenness to continue their strong bilateral partnership, which helps to maintain international peace and security, Saudi Press Agency reported.

The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen has received a message from Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov greeting the OIC on its 50th anniversary.

For his part, Al-Othaimeen thanked the Russian Foreign Minister for his greetings, stressing the OIC's willingness to fostering dialogue, understanding and cooperation with its partners.

He also hailed strong relations binding the OIC and Russia as an observer to the organization.
