Egyptian new ambassador to Berlin Khaled Galal Abdel-Hamid, and German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier pose for a photo in Berlin- press photo

CAIRO - 26 October 2019: Egyptian new ambassador to Berlin Khaled Galal Abdel-Hamid presented his credentials to German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier on Thursday, said Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Friday in a statement.

Having presented the credentials, the new Ambassador held a meeting with President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and discussed regional and international issues of mutual concern, the statement added.

President Steinmeier sent his greetings to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, praising his role in addressing internal economic challenges locally and maintaining regional security, the statement continued.

On September 4, 2019, the Egyptian embassy in Berlin organized a ceremony to celebrate the end of former ambassador Badr Abdel Atti’s four-year term.
