CAIRO, Oct 15 (MENA) - Head of the House of Representatives' Foreign Relations Committee and chairman of the Egyptian-Serbian Parliamentary Friendship Association Karim Darwish discussed on Wednesday with the head of the Serbian National Assembly's Foreign Relations Committee Zarko Obradovic and Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Egypt Dubravka Filipovski means to boost parliamentary relations between the two countries.

The meeting, which was held on the sidelines of the 141st Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), hosted by Serbia under the theme "strengthening international law: Parliamentary roles and mechanisms, and the contribution of regional cooperation", was attended deputy chairperson of the Human Rights Committee at the Egyptian parliament Margeret Azer and Egypt's Ambassador to Serbia Amr Goweili.

Darwish hailed the level of Egyptian-Serbian relations especially in the parliamentary domains, according to a press release issued by the legislature Wednesday.

For his part, Filipovski expressed appreciation of Egypt's participation in the gathering under speaker Ali Abdel Aal, expressing hope for activating a memo of understanding signed in June during his visit to Egypt where he was warmly welcomed by Abdel Aal.
