24 handed sentences in ‘Pyramids Hotel Attack’ lawsuit

CAIRO - 12 October 2019: Giza Criminal Court sentenced six defendants to death, eight others to life in prison, and 12 minors to 10 years in prison convicting them of attacking Three Pyramids Hotel.

The public prosecution’s arraignment on the six convicts sentenced to death included leading an outlawed group and providing its members with funding and arms between mid-2015 and February 2016 as well as assaulting Three Pyramids Hotel, acquisition of firearms and ammunition, vandalism, and using force to resist police.

Their names are Mohamed Abdel Aal, Ahmed Mohamed Hassan ,Hassan Ibrahim, Youssef Abdel Aal, Mousa Desouky, and Abdel Rahman Atef. The convicts handed life sentences are Karim Montasser, Ahmed Khaled, Mostafa Mahmoud, Mohamed Khalaf, Ahmed Badawy, Mahmoud Mostafa, Ahmed Saleh, Moahmoud Abdel Kader.

The minors are Osama Seif, Mostafa Khaled, Ahmed Mohamed Kassem, Abdel Aziz Amin, Mohamed Mostafa, Karim Hemeida, Asser Mohamed Abdel Wareth, Youssef Sobhy, Ali Atef, Youssef Mohamed, Bassam Osama, and Abdel Rahman Samir.
