CAIRO, Oct 12 (MENA) - House of Representatives Speaker Ali Abdel Aal discussed with Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Maja Gojkovic means of boosting parliamentary cooperation and coordination within the framework of international meetings.

This came during a meeting held on the sidelines of the executive committee meeting and the 141st Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, currently convening in Belgrade and set to run till October 17, said Egypt's Ambassador to Serbia Amr el Jewelly on Saturday.

Parliamentary cooperation with Serbia has seen a quantum leap since Abdel el Aal's first visit to Belgrade in July 2018 when he addressed the Serbian National Assembly, the ambassador said.

Serbian Speaker Gojkovic was keen on visiting Egypt in June to convey an invitation from Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to visit Belgrade, Jewelly added, noting that the invitation was renewed by the Serbian speaker during Abdel Aal's current visit.
