Trial of Alexandria's ex-deputy governor to resume Thursday

CAIRO, Oct 5 (MENA) - The Cairo Criminal Court on Saturday put off till Thursday the trial of former Alexandria deputy governor Soad el Kholi and her accomplice over money laundering charges.

According to prosecutors, Kholi deposited a total of EGP 500,000 in a bank account of the other defendant in a bid to conceal the origins of the funds.

The incident took place during the period from June 22 to August 20, 2017.
