CAIRO - 13 June 2017: Parliament approved a proposed law presented by 60 representatives concerned with regulating advertisements on health products on Monday under the presence of Parliamentary Speaker Ali Abdel Aal .

The new proposed law aims to curb misleading commercials that have a negative impact on the health of Egyptians.

Recently, several commercials have aired that promote unlicensed medical products and health services.

This resulted in the prevalence of harmful products that jeopardize public health. According to Abdel Aal, examinations show that the broadcasted products contain substances unfit for human consumption.
