Death toll from Liberian school fire rises to 30

MONROVIA- 19 September 2019: The death toll from a fire that erupted in a Liberian school Wednesday rose to 30.

The cause of the blaze is yet to be determined, said a spokesman for the police Thursday.

"The kids were learning the Koran when the fire broke out," spokesman Moses Carter earlier said.

The fire started late on Tuesday in the suburbs of the capital Monrovia, President George Weah said in a tweet.
