CAIRO – 15 September 2019: The Ministry of Transport has conducted a tour at the Ramsis Railway station at the external yard and ticket booths to inspect x-ray devices and ease of access to passengers’ tickets.

The ministry has directed to provide special services to passengers, and maintain the beautiful outlook of the station as one of the oldest railway stations in the world.

Train drivers at the station will attend training sessions on how to deal with the newly-installed modern tractors, in addition to teaching drivers how to understand the new e-signal system.

Ministry officials took the train number 901 heading to Damanhur, where they inspected the cleanliness of the train and the service quality. Officials further spoke with a number of passengers about the importance of the new development projects carried out in the railway sector, which included international agreements.

The length of the e-signal system installed on Cairo-Alexandria line reaches 208 km, including 19 main towers and 14 peripheral towers along the line.
