Cooperation protocol signed to equip cancer hospital in Asyut

CAIRO - 15 September 2019: Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) Abdel Moneim al-Taras and a delegation from the University of Asyut met on Sunday to arrange the installment of equipment in 2020 Cancer Hospital.

Both parties signed a cooperation protocol that will take effect soon. The hospital is planned to serve cancer patients from various Upper Egyptian governorates and not just Asyut.

The Ministry of Military Production and the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) will be part of the solid waste recycling system scheduled to be introduced this year and finalized in 2023.

Minister Mohamed al-Assar told press that the ministry has been assigned the construction and development of 63 recycling lines. In FY2016/2020, four lines will be renovated and two others will be established.

AOI Chairman Abdel Moneim al-Taras stated that the entity will supply equipment for 28 trash sorting facilities and 52 waste pits over two years, and that seven million tons of trash will be removed from unlicensed landfills. Taras revealed that an agreement was signed with a German company to safely get rid of hazardous waste.

2019-2023 solid waste recycling executive plan revealed

CAIRO - 30 July 2019: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly held a meeting to follow up on the 2019-2023 executive plan for solid waste recycling that consists of three main programs, and that is agreed upon by ministries and relevant institutions. The first program targets attracting investments to develop the infrastructure.
