FM says Egypt seeks to boost ties with Sudan

KHARTOUM, 9 September 2019: Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry said Monday Egypt is looking forward to boosting relations with Sudan.

Cairo is willing to offer all kind of support for the Sudanese people, Shoukry said after emerging from a meeting with his Sudanese counterpart Asmaa Abdullah in Khartoum.

He made it clear that Egypt showed respect for the will of the Sudanese people and stood at equal distance from all parties.

The top diplomat congratulated the Sudanese people and government for the stability achieved in Sudan.
