MINYA, Egypt - 7 September 2019: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli started on Saturday a visit to Minya governorate to tour a number of projects there.

The premier is accompanied by the ministers of health, transport, housing and agriculture.

The visit will include a tour of Samalout bridge axis project, which extends for 22 kilometers and entails establishing 31 bridges and 19 tunnels as part of five axes being implemented on the River Nile at a total cost of EGP 6.3 billion.

The project aims to link the two banks of the river with the aim of serving passengers and goods.

The prime minister is also set to inspect final preparations for the opening of Samalout public hospital after being renovated on an area of 8.5 square kilometers, in addition to the national housing project in new Minya city.
