CAIRO – 11 August 2019: Egyptian First Lady Entisar al-Sisi sent her greatest wishes to Egyptian people on the celebration of Eid al-Adha, praying to God to send his blessings on the Egyptians.

“Happy many returns of Edi al-Adha days for the great people of Egypt. It [the feast] carries through its blessed days the pleasure and upgrades our values of compassion and tolerance. May Allah sends the feast blessings of grace on us and Egypt,” she said on her official Facebook page on Sunday.

President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi extended his best wishes to the Egyptians, congratulating them on Eid al-Adha.

On his official Twitter account, president Sisi said “I congratulate the great Egyptian people on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. May Allah sends his blessings of it [the feast] on every Egyptian family with goodness, compassion and tolerance.”

Two days ago, President Sisi sent, via state's embassies and consulates around the globe, cables of greetings to Egyptian expats on the religious occasion.

Eid al-Adha, or the Grand Feast for the Muslims all over the world, is one of the two most important Islamic holidays. It lasts for four days and honors the willingness of Prophet Abraham to sacrifice his first-born son, Ismail, as an act of submission to God’s command.
