Grand Imam greets Sisi, Islamic nation on Eid

CAIRO – 10 August 2019: Grand Imam Ahmed el-Tayeb in a Saturday statement greeted President Abdel Fatah el-Sisi and the Egyptian people on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.

Also called the "Festival of the Sacrifice", Eid al-Adha is the second of two Islamic holidays celebrated worldwide each year (the other being Eid al-Fitr), and considered the holier of the two.

Tayeb also extended his sincere greetings to the Arab and Islamic nations on the occasion.

He further urged all Arab and Muslim nations to avoid division, hoping that peace and stability would prevail in Egypt.
