CAIRO – 9 August 2019: The Ministry of Health has started to set a medical plan to treat the injured plan during the celebrations of Muslim's Eid Al-Adha (Sacrifice Feast), which starts this year on Saturday evening.

The ministry said it declared a state of emergency in various hospitals to receive all cases during the four-day Eid.

An operation room will be opened throughout the Eid period, to provide assistance to all those suffering health troubles, the ministry said.

The ministry is coordinating with the Egyptian Ambulance Authority and critical care authority to implement the medical plan set to secure the Eid celebrations.

Eid El-Adha is the most significant feast for Muslims worldwide. El-Adha marks the end of Hajj (pilgrimage) to the holy city of Mecca.

Muslims celebrate Eid Al-Adha every year, honoring the obedience of Prophet Ibrahim to God when Ibrahim was ordered to sacrifice his son Ismail. God provided Ibrahim with a ram to sacrifice instead just before Ibrahim sacrificed his son.

In Islam, the sacrificed animal during Al-Adha is divided into parts, in order for the animal’s owner to be able to give a share of the meat to the needy people.
