CAIRO - 21 July 2019: The number of applicants for public universities' first ever admission tests for the academic year 2019-2020 has reached 130,000 since July 6, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced on Sunday.

The candidates can apply either online or at the admissions coordination offices located at different universities until Monday, July 22. The minimum score required for all faculties has been reduced to 60 percent instead of 70 percent, as reported by Al Ahram. The mass communication faculties where admission tests are needed are those of Cairo University, Beni Suef University, Suez University and New Valley University.
