PORT SAID, Egypt, July 14 (MENA) - Education Ministry Undersecretary Nabawi Bahi said a logistics diploma - which falls within the framework of the new vocational education system - is the first of its kind in Egypt.

In statements on Sunday, Bahi said Egypt needs qualified logistic cadres to serve in giant national projects, such as the Suez Canal axis.

He noted that the three-year diploma was first launched in two schools in Egypt in 2016.

The education ministry launched the diploma in tandem with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) through its program Workforce Improvement and Skills Enhancement (WISE).

WISE is meant to improve technical secondary education to meet the needs of the job market, benefiting vocational school students and teachers as well as the private sector.
