ASSIUT, Egypt, June 22 (MENA) - Assiut University decided to open its door for all undergraduates from Sudan, who are willing to complete their education at the Egyptian university.

The decision was taken with the aim of supporting the brotherly Sudanese people due to the exceptional political conditions in the African country.

President of Assiut University Tarek El-Gammal said the decision comes in response to the inquiries of many Sudanese students, who expressed their willingness to be transferred to the Upper Egyptian university.

The university is ready to receive the Sudanese students after fulfilling the requirements, Gammal said in a statement on Saturday.

He added that the university administration is keen on offering all means of support and care for the non-Egyptian students coming from various Arab and African countries.
