KHARTOUM, June 11 (MENA) - Sudan's Transitional Military Council has agreed to release political prisoners, Ethiopia's special envoy to Sudan Ambassador Mahmoud Dardir announced on Tuesday.

An agreement has been hammered out between the council and the freedom and change forces, without prejudice to previous agreements, under which both sides undertook to avoid using the media escalate the situation, Dardir said in a press release.
