CAIRO – 10 June 2019: Presidential Adviser for National and Strategic Projects Sherif Ismail made a visit to Alexandria Stadium, one of the stadiums set to host the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, to check the preparations for the tournament.

The 2019 Africa Cup of Nations will be held in Egypt from June 21 to July 19, 2019.

Accompanied by Alexandria Governor Abdel Aziz Qunsuah, other executive officials and parliament members, Ismail, who earlier served as the prime minister, made observations to be taken into consideration and implemented by a maximum of two days.

Qunsuah, during the tour, reviewed the efforts to improve the efficiency of the stadium including the main chamber, the press center, and the dressing rooms for players and referees.

Ismail also checked the Suez Stadium, along with Suez Governor Abdel Mageed Saqr. The stadium is set to host the matches of Group E, including Angola, Mali, Mauritania and Tunisia.

The tournament takes place with the participation of 24 teams in six groups for the first time in the history of the African competition.

The 2019 African Cup of Nations was initially scheduled to be hosted by Cameroon. However, Cameroon was stripped of hosting the tournament for serious delays in preparations.


Egypt is the most successful nation in the history of the competition as Egypt has won a record of seven titles including three in a row between 2006 and 2010.

First: Get Your Fan ID


Step 1:


Once you enter the official website, choose "Get Fan ID" then you will be directed to a page asking you whether you are Egyptian or Other Nationalities.

The User will fill his data which includes; Country of Nationality, Language of Communication and Email Address. Then he must enter his Mobile Number to get the Activation code via SMS.

After filling your Mobile Number & getting the Activation Code, you will be directed to the next page where you must fill you First, Middle & Last Names, also you should fill your Mother's full name, Blood type & Gender.

Step 4:


The user must fill also his Identity Number which is written in his National ID/Passport, and his Photo.

And this is the last phase in getting your FAN ID stage which will allow you to Book your Tickets.


Second: Book your Tickets


Step 1


The matches will be played in the Cairo, Air Defense, Al Salam, Alexandria, Suez and Ismailia stadiums. The Cairo Stadium will host the opening match and final match.


Once you enter the official website, www.tazkarti.com, you can press 'Purchase Tickets' which will direct you to the next page showing the matches, stadiums & dates.

In this step, the site will review the matches on each stadium and press the 'Book Ticket' specified in green and follow the steps.

When you press 'Book ticket', the website will demand entering FAN ID & Password.

Egypt won the rights to host the tournament after being selected over South Africa.
