Military funeral held for Arish checkpoint victims in Upper Egypt

SOHAG/ASSIUT, Egypt - 6 June 2019: In a military funeral on Thursday, residents of Sohag, Upper Egypt, paid their last respect to conscripts Mohamed Fayez Farag Fayez, Mohamed Ahmed Bakhit and Abdullah Ezz el Dawla who were killed in a terrorist attack targeting a security checkpoint in North Sinai's Arish city on Wednesday.

After the funeral, the bodies were taken to their hometowns to be laid to rest.

In a statement, Sohag governor condemned the terrorist attack, offering condolences to the families of the martyrs and the Egyptian nation.

Also, the military funeral of Conscript Abanoub Nagah Marzouq Attiyah was held in Assiut city, Upper Egypt.

Secretary of Assiut City Hall Nabil el Taibi led the funeral that was held at Assiut International Airport.
