CAIRO – 10 May 2019: Egypt will see a hot wave over a week, with temperature in Cairo hitting highs of 31 °C on Saturday, according to a statement by the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA).

EMA warned of a dense fog would shroud the country, particularly over the coastal cities in early hours, asking the drivers to be cautious.

On the first day of Holy Ramadan, scorching hot weather prevailed in Egypt as the temperature reached 37 °C. In Ramadan, Muslims worldwide will abstain from eating and drinking from dawn to sunset.
