CAIRO, May 7 (MENA) - The State Information Service (SIS) launched a new website in the Portuguese language as part of its portal (Egypt-Africa) which was launched to communicate with the African nations to support Egypt's presidency of the African Union during the current year.

The website targets communicating with the Portuguese-speaking Africans in Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea Bissau, Mozambique and Sao Tome and Principe, SIS head Diaa Rashwan said.

The website is to present information and news about Africa for the continent's Portuguese speakers, he said.

The website also includes a comprehensive database on Egypt at the different domains along with sundry information and statistics about the African countries, he added.
